What are the Required Documents to Obtain a Turkish Citizenship?

(Mother, father and family name) Contact information (telephone, mail, mailing address) Status of income and documents of each of them.

A birth certificate or a personal document indicating the identity information of the person, if married, the marriage document (family book) indicating the information of the wife and children must be attached (translated and certified by the Notre Dame).

Copy of the passport translated and certified by notary (1 copy).

Copy of residence certified by notary (2 copies per family member).

Explanation of the Tabu, which describes the properties owned by the applicant and a three-year reservation mark, (2 copies).

Original Tabu (2 copies).

Evaluation report issued by SPK (Capital Markets Council), two copies.

10 biometric images (captured over the last 6 months with white background).

A criminal record from the original country (2 copies).

A document for the ruling (Sabıka kaydı) from Turkey (2 copies).

If the applicant wants his or her child, whose legal guardian is his / her spouse to be Turkish citizen, a letter of consent from his / her spouse must be obtained from the notary public in Turkey or by the Turkish consulate abroad or the competent authority. The applicant’s country, where the child agrees to apply for naturalization as a Turkish citizen, and its Turkish translation is certified by the notary public.

For married couples a family status certificate (a marriage document or a family book), for divorced divorce certificate or (document proving divorce) for widows a copy of the death certificate of the husband (all papers translated and certified by notary).

Power of attorney to a lawyer (Including all types of work and transactions related to the application for citizenship).
